Isn't it surprising

that when levies are burst and houses swept away, when big financial giants do away and get away with so much and so much money, when school kids are shots by confused agitated, lost souls, not many souls are stirred in this country?

People still drive their big cars into their driveways and watch their 50 inch plus plasma Tvs and sleep soundly on their extra-plush mattresses.

But when a new store opens, people shake up, lock, stock and barrel, and camp outside for two days, undeterred by the freezing rain, in hopes of getting that free chair as part of the store's opening deal!!!

Edited to add: For some reason, I feel like humming this. Wish I were a bear :)
