Inauguration day

Its been a long weekend. Now you don't hear people saying that often, weekends are always supposed to be too short. Not this one, it just kept getting extended. Monday was MLK Day and it snowed yesterday and everything was closed inclusing work. Just that Pickles went to school for half a day. Atleast someone stepped out! The real misery was that it was terribly cold. I still check out the temperature in Celsius and it was minus 10 most days and is minus 7 even as I write. I was generally tired and had low energy levels and am glad to be back to work today.

We were watching the Inauguration ball last night, actually the Neighborhood Ball. Z was cleaning up, Pickles was singing, playing his toy guitar and it was just nice and fun. I asked Pickles who his friends are at school and he goes

P: Rishabh
Me: and
P: Lily
Me: and
P: Ethan
Me: and
P: Papa
Me: and
P: Obama uncle

Adorable as this is, I must add he is very fond of his Obama uncle. The Obamamania kicked in when we went for his election rally with Pickles and braved the rain and cold for hours. From the excitement in our voices, the huge crowds and the loud music that he was merrily dancing away to on a big maidan, he knew this was the man!
