A lot of mommies are talking about religion in their childrens' lives, most of them very eloquently and are thinking outside the box. I enjoy writing brief posts so shall just contribute an anecdote.
Yesterday evening, we were going out shopping with the in-laws. Pickle and I are singing songs sitting at the back. Pickle sings a lovely song mostly on his own, with a mish-mash of the words. To which MIL says without missing a beatand sharply "Pickle must start singing at church soon." In my head I said, yeah right!! The hell he will. Just so that you can beam at the grandson and have people know you better. Just because you want to establish your (non-existing) identity. How come you don't say he can sing at school or at home, why the hell at church? Why not say a mandir or a gurudwara coz you know why?!!
