A rolling birthday

Skating was one of my favorite things to do while growing up. We would often set out, mostly mom, sis and I and play sports in the evenings. My dad would join us too but he would be away often. Anyhow, I, like most young kids have snatches of my memory. I just wish I could go beyond episodic memories and remember a whole day in my life say at 7 or 10 that would more or less be accurate. Anyhow, I remember my parents playing squash and B, my sis, and I skating away in the 8 shaped rink. I have always maintained that that was as close to flying as one could get.

Now especially since Pickle's birth, I think we talk and reminescence a lot more about our childhood and I have often told Z, the he, about how much I loved skating and he has always said wow (and always thought to himself that I was even cooler than before !!). So on my thirty-third birthday, I was gifted these smooth pair of beauties in grey and pink.

Needless to say, I am so in love with them!! And him :)
